Tommy McGuire

Tommy sparked an interest in music during his teenage years and thanks his music teachers and tutors for this, in turn looking to return the favour to the next generation of musicians. Tommy has played in such bands as Isotones, Katee Kross & The Amberjax and has a successful solo career in place; gigging regularly round the Scottish music scene. Holder of an HNC and HND in Music, he is currently continuing his study for his BA(Hons) in Commercial Music at UWS.

Keith Murray

Keith has been playing and teaching the guitar professionally for over fifteen years. He preforms at weddings, events and corporate functions throughout the year. He teaches guitar for Kelvinside Academy as well as maintaining a busy private teaching practice. He has an LLCM Diploma in classical guitar performance and a DIPABRSM in guitar teaching. Keith is also an examiner for London College of Music.

With over 20 years playing experience Steve Boyle is a drummer who has been playing and teaching professionally since graduating from the Drumtech Music School in 2005. Having studied many different styles Steve's lessons cover all aspects of drumming, including techniques, co-ordination, sight-reading and rhythm section skills. Steve is also an experienced Drum Circle Facilitator having conducted many community and school based percussion events throughout Scotland

Chris Hardie

Chris Hardie

Chris has been playing the piano for 20 years and the saxophone for 15. During his time studying music at Strathclyde University, Chris was able to play in a selection of bands, ranging from Big Bands and Concert bands, to rock bands and funk groups, allowing him to play at some of the biggest venues across Glasgow and Scotland, including 2 years at T in the Park. Chris uses the knowledge obtained from playing different styles of music to help in his teaching, including how to improvise and read chords, as well as assist his pupils through Trinity grade exams.

Katie O'Neil

Katie O'Neil

Katie is a singer/songwriter who has been performing across the country on a regular basis. In March 2016 she released her debut album, 'Beautiful Dreamer' which has proven very successful. Katie has been teaching at our school for the past 3 years and draws on her experience from her time studying guitar with RGT and studying her HNCertificate to teach in a fun and interesting way. Katie specilises in teaching 6-16 year olds.

Ross Barron

Ross Barron

Ross has been playing for 10 years and has great experience in playing acoustic, electric and bass guitar. Having spent 3 years studying at West College Scotland - formerly Reid Kerr - Ross graduated in 2015 with a Diploma in Music Performance and is currently studying to achieve his degree in Applied Music at the University of the Highlands and Islands. Having played both guitar and bass in many bands, Ross uses this knowledge to make lessons both fun and informative for all levels from beginner to advanced.
